Republicans believe the constitution of the United States is a contract between free people and the public officials they choose to govern them; that our rights are granted to us by our creator and not by the government; that the purpose of taxation is to finance government and not to redistribute income; that we are all created equal and should stand equal before the law; and in individual liberty with personal responsibility for ones choices and actions.
